2011 PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES
The park is open for general use from April to November, 8:30am to Dusk.
Pavilion and cabin rentals are available from May 27 to September 9, 2011.

Thursday through Sunday
December 8-11, 2011 and December 15-18, 2011, from 5:307:30 p.m.
All activities are free of charge. Photos with Santa are $5.
An annual tradition.. With the park dressed up with lights and displays, the whole family will enjoy a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, hot chocolate and cookies! Have a photo taken or take your own while your child visits with Santa (many people do both), then take a ride on Santa's train through our enchanted holiday wonderland! Stop in and say hi to the animals, too!

Easter Egg Hunt and Hat Parade
Saturday, April 23, 2011, 11:00am
The Hat Parade begins at 11am, followed by the Easter Egg Hunt at 11:30am. Children should wear their most creative Easter hats, and bring a container to collect eggs. Call 413.538.5039 for details. This program is free of charge and sponsored by the South Hadley Recreation Department.
Memorial Day Picnic at the Park
and South Hadley Community Band Concert

Bring a picnic lunch and join neighbors and friends for free CAKE and help us celebrate the opening of the season and recent additions to our playground for little and big kids. Festivities are planned to begin after the Memorial Day Parade. The South Hadley Community Band (www.shcb.org) will perform a patriotic selection of tunes at 2:00pm.

Cruise nights are held every Friday Night

Cruise nights are free and open to the public. Stroll through the park and enjoy classic cars, DJ music, refreshments and the company of neighbors and friends. Plan to join us for supperthe menu includes hot dogs and hamburger, along with a variety of beverages (including beer).
Proceeds from food sales help to support park improvements such as the new playground at the center of the park. Volunteers to assist with the food concession are always appreciated.

No admission fee
Weekly trophies for cars; monthly trophy awarded to a past weekly winner
Food concession opens at 5:30pm, but cars may arrive earlier

3rd Annual Summer Shopping Craft Show
Saturday, June 25, 2011, 9am-6pm (rain or shine)
Free Admission
Music, craftspeople, artists and other vendors, including Impressions custom laser engraving. Food will be available. A Kiddie Korner will feature face painting, a bounce house, and caricature drawings. Sponsored by Events and Everything, with support from Friends of Buttery Brook Park, Taylor Rental and Kohl's Department Store.

Free entertainment and activities for children 10 and under on Wednesday mornings (schedule of performers TBA). Presented by the Friends of Buttery Brook Park and the South Hadley Family Center (www.shfamilycenter.org). This annual series provides local families and day care providers with lovely child-focused musical events on Wednesday mornings throughout the month of July.
In the event of inclement weather, concerts are moved indoors to the auditorium at South Hadley Town Hall, 116 Main Street. For information, contact the DPW at
